Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is a science fiction comedy film that was released in 1989. It stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter as Bill and Ted, two high school students who are struggling to write a history report that will impress their teachers and ensure their admission to college.

In a desperate attempt to complete their project, Bill and Ted stumble upon a time-traveling phone booth and use it to travel through time and meet historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Abraham Lincoln. Along the way, they encounter a variety of challenges and obstacles, but ultimately manage to complete their report and achieve their dreams of attending college.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure was a critical and commercial success, and has since become a beloved cult classic. It spawned two sequels, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991) and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020), as well as a popular animated television series.
